![]() He talked about Whyte takeover, how he loaned money from ticketus to fund the deal and paid a pound for Wavetower to control over 80% of shares in the club. How LBG just wanted ther £18m from Rangers. How the credit crunch may have been part of the banks getting heavily involved in the operations and the sale of the club. He touched on Murrays role, how MIH owed almost billion to LBG. He is very strong in defending the company is different from the club debate. I would say he's a bit reluctant to get in a great debate over peoples roles and motives with the goings on and a bit naive imo to think Whyte had zero intention to put us into administration. A few publishing errors with spelling here and there but a great review of what occurred. I have read Brian Howiesons book and its a good read. It was a good discussion but sadly one with alot more questions than answers. It was claimed Murray and Whyte both attempted to reach an agreement with HMRC and even one (i think Whyte) spoke to Scottish Government regarding HMRC's stance. How they went about their business and why they never agreed to a CVA. Their was a chat over HMRC's role over this. Their was a little chat over Green's role and why Sevco 5088 was formed either in Cardiff or London by Whyte and Charles Green but then Green later formed Sevco Scotland Limited which was to be the company to take over the club and wether he duped Whyte? How Whyte put himself in a win win situation putting the floating charge over the assets that LBG had to the company. He talked about Whyte's takeover, how he loaned money from ticketus to fund the deal and paid a pound for Wavetower to control over 80% of shares. He touched on Murrays role, how MIH owed almost £1billion to LBG. I do think he's a little naive to think Whytes plan was counting on champions league money and not to put us into administration. There was zero debate on his difference between club and company argument. The lecture lasted an hour and the last 30 mins were questions.įor me Brian Howieson was pretty decent explaining his points.
